06.21.2005 "Something Huge is afoot at LIMA!".

Licensing show over and what a show it's been! Meeting SUMO greats like Musashimaru Koyo and wrestling sensations like Roddy Roddy Piper, it's a wonder how any work was done! But connections were made and people met, this was definately one for the books... Event Run-Ins with Jim Benton of Bunny Books fame, Lassie (yes the dog), Pink Panther (Yes the cat) and Golum/Smiegal (ummm, y'know). In anycase it's been a tiring week...!

 

06.18.2005 "Panel at Anime Next + Super Interview!".

Fun ensues at Anime Next as Chaotic Unicorn scores it's first exclusive high profile interview with the convention's honored guests Akitaro Daichi and Reiko Yasuhara of "Fruits Basket" fame! Plus more sneak peaks of "Shiden" as well as announcing even more fun and cool PSP downloads! Videos and Interviews soon to be posted here and at the Anime Crash Website!

 

 

05.05.2005 "Hip-Hop Non-Stop DJ HONDA style".

Through prior contacts in Japan while MCing across Hokkaido, Japan. Tasayu introduces CRASH Media Group to one of New York's biggest underground DJ, DJ HONDA. On "Cinco de Mayo" Honda spins in NYC's Webster Hall along with MTV's DJ Skribble, a night of hip-hop and house Crash and SUI enjoys the start of a proserous relationship.

 

04.30.2005 "Panel at Anime Boston".

The first of many panels, pertaining to "Shiden" and "CRASH", SUI travels to Anime Boston to help present and educate the anime public of upcoming anime "Shiden" and "Olympus Gaurdians" Also traveling with Euralis Weekes of Studio Unicorn's Chaotic Unicorn Animation Division, for the undercover mini-mockumentary "The GLOMP Project", covering the intriguin sub-culture of Glomping in the anime community... Soon to be viewable at Anime Crash's Site and Chaotic Unicorn's Site.

03.31.2005 "Land of the Rising Sun and the Japanese Quincy Jones!".

A journey of unbelievable proportions. SUI invades Japan and meets music composer great "Masaaki Hirao" of "Harlock" and "Galaxy Express Fame". Who will also be working on "Shiden". Along with Hirao-san, Tasayu meets with the rest of the "Shiden" staff, who've worked on such hits like "Urusei Yatsura", "Initial D" and "G.I.T.S. Innocence". Plus touring the Big Site on Odaiba for TAF and finding out exactly what will be hitting the waves for the following year. SUI gets into down and dirty and sets up many great contacts in Japan.

02.02.2005 "Bridging TIME and SPACE".

A historic event in the world of anime as "Shiden" designs near completion. Co-creator of "Speed Racer" KIMIO IKEDA and Studio Unicorn's TASAYU TASNAPHUN met at "CRASH/A.G.E." for the signing ceremony of "Shiden" the new animation from the mind of IKEDA himself! The first anime to be produced in conjunction with an american company. Quoting SCOTT C. MAURIELLO Managing Director of CRASH/A.G.E."Shiden is truly a project which binds East to West and Old and New. Anime comes full circle..."

10.09.2004 "Hey! Hey! Puffy Ami Yumi!!!".

On tour to promote their new show "Hi!Hi! Puffy Ami Yumi Show" on "Cartoon Network" are Japan's legendary cute punk band duo"PUFFY"! Live at NYC's Webster Hall, the band rocked away to a packed house entertaining both old and new fans! And in the midts of it all with special invites from SONY RED, you guessed it! Studio Unicorn Ima, though Tasayu was the only one invited up to the V.I.P. Lounge after the show, the rest of the studio had a great time too!

10.06.2004 "Swinging Time in NYC".

What can go wrong when you have a dozen kawaii school girls playing kicking Jazz in NYC? Inviting the Media Director of Studio Unicorn IMA to go! For the debut of the Japanese movie "SWING GIRLS" the entire cast of the movie came, and performed a live concert at the Tribecca Grand Hotel, a night of screening, music and mingling...perfect. This event was sponsored by JAL and Fujisanke Communications.
